Cricket is beyond the level of sport in Pakistan.There are many ups and downs occurred in past with Pakistan cricket in ICC tournaments.In the first three events of ICC ODI world cups Pakistan don’t even qualified for semi finals but in the world cup 1987 Pakistan Lost to Australia in semi final.After this a new era in Pakistan cricket started in ICC world cup 1992 Pakistan is led by Imran Khan Pakistan at very last minute qualified for semi final from outside and then from that Pakistan never looked behind and beat the Hot favorites New Zealand in semi final and beat the English side in final and it is the only world cup that Pakistan won in this format.In 1996 Pakistan qualified for quarter final and lost against India.In 1999 Pakistan managed to get place in the final but at that time Pakistan was not able to beat the mighty Aussies . In 2003 world cup Pakistan Pakistan disqualified from group stages.In 2007 World cup Pakistan lost from Ireland and it was an upset and Pakistan out of the tournament.In 2011 world cup Pakistan qualified to semi final.In semi final against India Pakistan lost this match in Mohali.In 2015 World cup Pakistan qualified for quarter final and lost against Australia.In 2019 world cup Pakistan disqualified from group stages due to early upset against West Indies in group stages.so 2023 world cup is coming so hope from Pakistan to win this world cup in Baber Azam,s captaincy
